Will’s Words

True to form as a boy, Will has been a little slower in talking than his friends. However, he’s adding words at a rapid pace lately. Here are his words at 21 months (I’m including animal sounds because it’s exciting that he’s finally repeating what we’ve been saying for so long):

  • No
  • Uh-oh
  • Whoa
  • Oh Boy
  • Mama
  • Dada (sometimes he’ll try Mama first, before saying Dada)
  • Baby
  • Bye-bye
  • Hi (which is used for “help” or “pay attention to me”)
  • More (with sign language!)
  • No way
  • Boom
  • Mess (followed by cleaning up a mess, sometimes in the middle of a meal)
  • Bubble
  • Go
  • Stuck
  • Woof woof
  • Baa
  • Neigh
  • Moo
  • Quack
  • Roar
  • Hop Hop (for bunny)
  • Hot
  • Down
  • One, two, three (well, if you listen closely!)

Becca Sofia

Becca Sofia joined our family at 4:55 am on August 6, 2012. She weighed 7 lb, 8 oz, and was 19 inches long. We waited 10 days past her due date, but when she decided to come it was quick – only 2 hours from the time of the first contraction! Kind of a scary ride to the hospital (30 minutes away) and a close call about whether the doctor would make it or not, but a good conclusion to the story. We’ve had a good recovery and are settling in to life at home as a family of four. Becca’s a good eater and a good sleeper – at her 2 week appointment she was already 8 lb, 5.5 oz and 21 inches long. Will is protective of his baby and doesn’t like to leave the house without her. He had lots of fun having Grammy, PopPop, and Grandmommy visit and play with him, too.
